THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOD’S WRATH AND THE TRIBULATION – by Flying Dutchman
Many people think the tribulation is God’s wrath and therefore we (Christians / believers / faithful / the elect) would be not appointed to it.
So an assumption is made here that the tribulation is equal, the same as God’s wrath. But is that really true?
The difference on whether it is or whether not, can change your whole eschatology toward the timing of the rapture for example.
Before you want to determine what the tribulation and God’s wrath is, you need to look at the meaning of it and use the best sources for that of course.. That’s what i will try to do, see it as a study, you can make up your mind about it yourself.
All what matters is the New Testament “tribulation”":

Quote:
1) a pressing, pressing together, pressure
2) metaph. oppression, affliction, tribulation, distress, straits
The verses applied to those words are inside the links above.
This will become very relevant later!
This is what “wrath” means:

Here all N.T versions:

So bottom-line; what you see is that the word “tribulation” and “wrath” are different words with a different meaning.
To understand that is a big deal for your understanding about where or what the tribulation is about and what God’s wrath is and the difference between them.
All N.T verses that talk about “tribulation”, I will put the Lexicon after it as well:

You’ve probably seen that there are more results of verses inside the links to the Lexicon than the results I have shown above based on the word “wrath”.
That is because I only typed in “wrath” into the Lexicon, but some words like “anger” give the same result in the Lexicon, meaning it’s wrath too. But here above are all verses that contain the word “wrath” as it’s mentioned in the English Bible, which is especially relevant to understand the difference between tribulation and wrath.
If you noticed the verses with “tribulation”, it’s dealing with persecution.
If you noticed the verses with “wrath”, it mainly deals with God’s wrath or anger, with a few exceptions.
Where it’s God’s wrath it mentions it, and where it’s not it also gives you a clue.
sometimes it doesn’t talk about God’s wrath literally, but mentions that it deals with law etc, so you know the wrath talked about refers to God’s wrath.
Where is it not God’s wrath?
Here:
Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Except for all other verses related to “wrath”,this verse that is dealing with God’s wrath, here in Rev 12:12 , you explicitly see its dealing with “the devil’s” wrath. So that doesn’t leave any room for doubt or confusion either!
There is another one, where the word “wroth”( another word for “wrath”) is used in Revelation 12:17:
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. ( KJV)
Also very important in relation to the difference between “the tribulation” and “wrath” is that one important verse is often used as “evidence” that “the Church” ( the Church is in the eyes of dispensationalist pre-tribbers a Non Jewish entity) doesn’t have to endure the tribulation.
I say “non-Jewish entity” in relation to “the Church”, because the word “Gentile” might be misleading and not entirely correct, I will talk about that in later articles as well.
Here it is:
1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
1Th 5:9 For 3754 God 2316 hath 5087 0 not 3756 appointed 5087 us 2248 to 1519 wrath 3709, but 235 to 1519 obtain 4047 salvation 4991 by 1223 our 2257 Lord 2962 Jesus 2424 Christ 5547,
Wrath here meaning:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lex … ongs=G3709
Quote:
1) anger, the natural disposition, temper, character
2) movement or agitation of the soul, impulse, desire, any violent emotion, but esp. anger
3) anger, wrath, indignation
4) anger exhibited in punishment, hence used for punishment itself
a) of punishments inflicted by magistrates
The context 1Th 5:9 of is not to endure God’s wrath:
1 Thessalonians 5:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/tools/pr … JV&x=7&y=9
So 1 Thessalonians 5:9, can never be used as supposed evidence for the Church not to go through the tribulation.
Cause it’s not speaking about the tribulation here, but that the church is not appointed to God’s wrath. The tribulation is persecution, it’s the devil’s wrath. The only time Scripture uses “wrath” not in relation to God, but for the devil, in Rev 12:12, there it also says “the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath” and that wrath, anger, leads to persecution, affliction..or in other words……tribulation!
Everywhere in Scripture the words persecution, affliction etc are there to be found, because Satan’s antichrist spirit that set people up to the Saints, the elect, faithful, …this is tribulation. There have been many tribulations, but also THE Tribulation of the end times is having the exact same meaning and the exact same cause….Satan! ( not God!!)
God’s wrath if you read back in all relevant passages, is a day of God. It’s not more than a day. If you take the bible literally you need to use the same method, be consistent in how you apply your rules of understanding.
Now if the tribulation would be God’s wrath, then you need to assume that God’s DAY of wrath is not literally a day, but could be 7 years or 3.5 years. That would be possible, but you need to be consistent. Normally, if there is no literal meaning, then there is a reason a parable or something that gives a clue that it’s symbolic, not literal.
But let’s apply the literal meaning consistently:
The day of God’s wrath is really a day, not seven years or three and a half years etc. Consistent with our literal method, we also go to other scripture that is not symbolic and no parable, so we need to apply those particular verses the same way:
Matthew 24:
Quote:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Mat 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not.
Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
This is very important, as you see it speaks about the tribulation of “those days”. Plural days, not singular.
Alright, if what many say, the wrath of God is equal to the Tribulation, then than the theory that the wrath of1Th 5:9 ( God’s wrath) would supposedly mean that the Church is avoiding to go through tribulation according to pre-trib view, then we have a problem with our benchmark of literal scripture suddenly.
Cause the day of Wrath if it would be equal to the tribulation is now showing a clear contradiction!
Here is the contradiction:
*The day of wrath ( of God) is seven years, because pre-trib says it’s the tribulation.
However, this is what Scripture says about the tribulation itself:
* Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
And confirmed here as well:
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
So conclusion, God’s wrath is not the tribulation as shown in this topic, plus that the day of wrath is a literal day, no reason to take it symbolically, in a similar way, applying Scripture by the same literal method, the tribulation is plural, it’s “those days” and other parts of scripture tell it’s 1260 days, or 42 months.
If we use the bible as benchmark and take it literally, then we have to be consistent, so if no symbolic meaning is given or clue to not take it literally, then other scripture that doesn’t give any clue to not take it literally has to be applied literal.
Then when it’s both literal, you cannot have any contradiction…if you have, then there is a misunderstanding!
So the day of the Lord’s wrath is really “a day”, the tribulation is really “those days”, plural…1260 days we are being told, 42 months.
So now we have applied Scripture fairly, the most honest way, We’ve been consistent, we have no contradiction. See if you take one part of Scripture literal as one day and the other not, but when you still claim it’s the same thing, then you just lost any method, any logic and any benchmark to compare, because any verse can be applied to someone’s view in various ways….according to the reader’s own view, not to a method of literal meaning!
If you use this method for every problem in Scripture, you can work out most problems of understanding and doubts you have!!
By the way, I’m a Dutchman, but it works exactly the same way in Dutch, the difference between tribulation and torn ( wrath) and the plural days of tribulation and the singular day of God’s wrath! But we also took away any doubt via the original Greek of the New Testament, via the Lexicon. I’ve prayed over it before I began to work on this topic, to be as accurate as possible and be able to explain it properly.
Now, based on what you saw above, you know the next can never be true, I show this to you so that you can see how this works and how various bible teachers are dealing with Scripture:

What is the Pretribulation Rapture?
http://www.raptureready.com/rr-pretribu … pture.html
Quote:
God Hath Not Appointed Us to Wrath
In 1 Thessalonians 5:9, Paul assures us that God has not appointed His people to wrath. This wrath is plainly God’s anger that will be poured out during the tribulation. Pre-trib believers interpret this as meaning that Christians will be removed from the earth. Post-trib believers tell a different story. They describe this as meaning that God will protect Christians during the tribulation and pour this wrath out on the unbelievers only. This idea runs against the statement made in Revelation 13:7, in which the Antichrist is given power to make war with the saints and to overcome them. A post-trib view would make God’s promise of protection from wrath into a lie. In years past, it was possible to think of being protected from the guns and swords of that day. Today, when any major war would involve nuclear and chemical weapons, it’s impossible to expect that same kind of protection. When Nagasaki, Japan was bombed during World War II, the bomb exploded over a Catholic church. Everyone who was in the center of the explosion died–both Christians and non-Christians. The only way to validly interpret God’s promise of protection from wrath is by viewing 1 Thessalonians 5:9 as the bodily removal of the Church from this world.
As you saw earlier, His wrath is plainly NOT God’s anger that will be poured out during the tribulation.
God’s anger, the day of wrath in that chapter is really one day, while the tribulation is plural, days and is the Devil’s, Satan’s wrath, persecution of the Saints.
Now God never pours out his wrath over the Saints, the faithful, but always over the wicked. and of course Satan’s wrath is poured out over the faithful, which persecution is the result of.
Quote:
A post-trib view would make God’s promise of protection from wrath into a lie.
Not true as you see, because the related verses are absolutely not telling what Todd Strandberg makes of it in his own mind, which he himself has learned in pre-trib institutes of theology and Bible study. Places where you only learn Scripture to understand within the boundaries of pre-trib dispensationalism….not necessarily according to Scripture, but according to a certain view, theories which are developed by humans. So the accusation is that post-trib is making a liar of God’s promise and God’s word, however according to the best methods, literal scripture in the right context, with the original Greek as extra Scriptural back up, confirms over and over that post-trib is not lying here. If you would like to make this into a fight (which we shouldn’t do!), then post-trib on its turn based on the information I just presented you could bounce this accusation back to the teachers that claim this. The finger pointing of the accuser, in this case Todd Strandberg, is turning against himself now. As you see, teachers can claim a lot, but it’s not necessarily true and most of these idea’s or theories are part of their eschatological system and are taught as “facts”, “the truth”. and one after the other is parroting, repeating them, while few are checking if what is claimed is really the truth and often it’s not so easy because everything is made very complicated by those “instant” theories.

Evidence of Pre-Tribulation Rapture
by Michael Aprile
http://www.utmost-way.com/framep1.htm
Quote:
Christians are not appointed to wrath.
1 Thessalonians 5:9 points to the fact that “God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” This verse follows the strongest passage in the Bible on the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4) and must be taken strictly in light of its context. There seems to be a need for context, in interpretation, but no less a need for understanding word usage and meaning. The phrase “the day of the Lord,” in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2, refers to the period when the Lord saves His church from wrath (the Rapture), puts the unbelieving through His wrath (the Tribulation), and then makes His glorious appearing (the Second Coming) to set up His kingdom – in that order. In short, the Rapture occurs before the Tribulation, while the glorious appearing occurs after it.
by Michael G. Mickey
http://www.rapturealert.com/pretribnewidea.html
Quote:
There are two totally different types of tribulation we need to understand as Christians. The first type of tribulation comes to the Church by way of man’s wickedness. The second kind of Tribulation is the kind those dwelling inside the Tribulation Period will have to endure. They are not one and the same!
Many today whose doctrines tell us the Church is going to be thrown into the Tribulation Period with the wicked tend to point to tribulations the Church has suffered at the hands of wicked mankind in the past as an example of Christ’s willingness to let His Bride suffer at His own hand in the Tribulation Period that will come to test the whole earth. Ridiculous! It’s like comparing a peach to a bowling ball!
As Clement put it, the Church has been persecuted, but only by the wicked. Members of the Church have been (and still are being) cast into prison, but only by the unholy! Members of the Church have been stoned, but only by transgressors! Members of the Church have been slain, but only by the accursed! Daniel wasn’t cast into the lion’s den by the Lord or anyone who feared the Lord. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego weren’t placed in the fiery furnace by God, but by the wicked.
Michael G. Mickey makes the same point. The tribulation is persecution of the wicked….not of God, but “we” are not appointed to God’s wrath is not saying we escape tribulation at all! See the blue quote above, where Michael G. Mickey confirms what I earlier tried to explain. People often get confused in their own way of thinking, cause they don’t have a clear method or benchmark and therefore contradict themselves without knowing it.
Earlier he said:
Quote:
Are we to believe Christ, who Clement writes is free from wrath toward all His creation, is going to appoint His beloved Church to suffer at His own hand during the great day of His wrath? Scripture answers that question.
1st Thessalonians 5:9: For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
So then quotes 1st Thessalonians 5:9, also thinking this is the tribulation. Thinking that God’s wrath is tribulation, while he earlier said:”the Church has been persecuted, but only by the wicked” and “Members of the Church have been (and still are being) cast into prison, but only by the unholy! Members of the Church have been stoned, but only by transgressors! Members of the Church have been slain, but only by the accursed! Daniel wasn’t cast into the lion’s den by the Lord or anyone who feared the Lord.”
So he made my point instead of his own. So tribulation is as you see a period of persecution, which we earlier saw and Michael G. Mickey also confirms by himself, of the faithful by the wicked….not by God.
So he got confused himself, as he earlier pretended that the church is not going through tribulation, cause:”For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ”.
Well then, the tribulation is not God’s wrath, but the wrath of the wicked! So if Christians go through tribulation, they are not appointed by God’s wrath, cause it’s not the same thing!
Which I earlier tried to show you by meaning, by the context of verses quoted etc.
This assumption which is made is not thoroughly researched is having 4.560 hits in Google, just the way I searched on it.

God’s Purpose For The Tribulation
by Thomas Ice
http://www.raptureready.com/featured/ic … ation.html
Quote:
Judgment Nature Of The Tribulation
Second, God’s basic purpose for the tribulation is that it be a time of judgment, while at the same time, He will hold forth the gospel of grace. This will precede Christ’s glorious 1,000 year reign from David’s throne in Jerusalem. Judgment, or God’ s wrath, is needed to put down the rebellion of mankind in preparation for Christ’ s reign of peace upon earth during the millennium.
Quote:
A common statement made by some is as follows: ” I believe that the church will go through the tribulation because the Bible says that we will suffer for our faith.” The problem with such a statement is that while it may appear to have the veneer of biblical correctness, at core it betrays a lack of understanding of God’ s purpose for the tribulation. Certainly the Bible teaches that all through out the church age Believers will suffer persecution. This is taught by such passages as John 16:33b, ” In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” And in 2 Timothy 3:12 ” Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.” The question is will the church experience the trials of the tribulation? I have found that when a person is knowledgeable of what the Bible says is God’ s purpose for the tribulation, or any issue for that matter, then a very high percentage of those people will come to believe that the church will be taken in the rapture before the tribulation. What is God’ s purpose for the tribulation?
So despite the word “tribulation” means the same in the entire Bible, from history until now and the future, and despite there where tribulations always, Thomas Ice says:” no”, but with THE Tribulation the bible is suddenly not consistent, and this time you don’t go through Tribulation. This while the Saints, who kept the faith and word of Jesus Testimony, so Christians, are said in Revelation to go through tribulation, be persecuted by the Devil’s wrath in that period…….not to God’s wrath!!
So to say that the last tribulation, which is a global one, is suddenly not what the Saints have to endure, is inconsistent with all warnings given in the bible and all periods described throughout the ages for faithful people to be persecuted during tribulations.
And remember, the tribulation is affliction, persecution of the wicked, not of God! So neither the last tribulation, cause nowhere it says or does it mean that the tribulation is God’s wrath! Ice goes up against Biblical history and creates a new rule based on human theories, that it is supposedly different then last time of tribulation and then quotes verses that are wrongly applied, where he doesn’t care what it also means.

1 Thessalonians 5:9
One of the most popular arguments for the pretribulation rapture is based on 1 Thessalonians 5:9, “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.” It is argued that the great tribulation is an unprecedented time of God’s wrath falling upon the whole world. Since believers are specifically told that they are not appointed to wrath, it is only logical to conclude that the church will be removed from the earth before God’s wrath is poured out. This removal is the rapture of the saints. This argument for the rapture is fallacious for a number of reasons. First, it assumes that the wrath spoken of in verse 9 is the wrath poured out during the tribulation. The context of chapter 5 however makes it abundantly clear that the wrath spoken of in verse 5 is not the wrath of the tribulation but the wrath that occurs at the second coming of Christ—the day of the Lord (cf. 1 Th. 5:1-3).
Second, it assumes that the only method at God’s disposal for protecting the church from His wrath is a total removal from the earth. An examination of the wrath of God in both testaments reveals that the Pretribulationist assumption is totally unwarranted. When God poured out His wrath upon Egypt, He spared the people of Israel (cf. Ex. 8:22-23; 9:4-6, 11, 26; 10:23; 11:7; 12:23; 14:28-29) without first removing them out of the land. The prophet Isaiah says explicitly that God can judge the earth without harming His own covenant people who remain on earth. “Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past. For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; the earth will also disclose her blood, and will no more cover her slain” (Isa. 26:20-21).
The nail in the coffin to the Pretribulationist use of 1 Thessalonians 5:9 comes from the book of Revelation which shows that God’s people are protected from His wrath during the tribulation. In Revelation 6:16 it is the heathen that ask the mountains and rocks to protect them from the wrath of the lamb. A wrath that falls as a response to the prayers of persecuted and martyred saints (Rev. 6:9-11). After the fifth trumpet is sounded, the locusts of destruction are ordered by God only to harm “those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads” (Rev. 9:4). God’s saints are specifically protected from harm. In Revelation 9:20-21 we are told that these plagues were directed to wicked men. Revelation 14:9-10 says that those who are to experience God’s wrath and undiluted indignation are those who receive the mark of the beast; who worship the beast and his image. This obviously excluded Christians. Revelation 16:1-2 says that God’s wrath (the first bowl) is only to be
poured out on the worshipers of the beast, who have his mark. Once again believers are excluded. In 16:9 and 11 those who receive God’s plagues are identified as blasphemers who refuse to repent. A careful reading of Revelation demonstrates that although God’s people experience persecution, death and harm at the hands of wicked men they are carefully and lovingly excluded from every act of God’s wrath. God’s wrath only falls upon those who are the enemies of Christ and His church. The wrath that falls on the wicked is God’s loving response to the prayers of His saints. Does the church need to be completely removed from the earth to be spared from God’s wrath, as Pre-tribulationists assert? The Scriptures answer that question with an emphatic “no!”

With this I think I brought up most important issues in relation to this topic.
There is more to tell, but it’s enough for this time I guess.
In addition: I’ve quotes of dr.Thomas Ice of the pre-trib Center, but their website is being redesigned and the links I included in this article are gone. Very often you can find those back in Google, because other websites have copied them from the Pre-trib Center. But I created this article a long time ago and quotes from the Pre-trib Center.

To boil it down:
God’s wrath after the second coming:
Many Christian scholars say the “wrath of God” takes place during the Great Tribulation.
But what does Scripture say?
God’s wrath on the day of the Lord:
Zep 1:14 The great day of the LORD [is] near, [it is] near, and hasteth greatly, [even] the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
Zep 1:15 That day [is] a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Isa 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Isa 13:10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
Isa 13:11 And I will punish the world for [their] evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
Isa 13:12 I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.
Isa 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
Sun, Moon and Stars, darkened BEFORE the day of the Lord
Joe 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
…skip…
Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.
Joe 2:32 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Tribulation > Sun, Moon and Stars dark > Day of the Lord
Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
So immediately AFTER the tribulation the Sun, Moon and stats are darkened, but we jsut learned that in Joe 2:31, that The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and the terrible day of the LORD come!
And the day of the Lord is when God’s wrath comes. ( over the wicked)
So many Christian scholars say that Gods wrath is taking place DURING the tribulation, but God/ the bible says that it takes place AFTER the tribulation! It’s also the day that Christ comes as you see in Mat 24:30.
So once again, many Christian scholars say that Gods wrath is taking place DURING the tribulation, that’s why there is a pre-trib rapture for the church as they think we have to escape God’s wrath based on 1 Thessalonians 5:9:
1st Thessalonians 5:9: For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.
But wait-a-minute, God / The Bible says His wrath is on the day of the Lord and that’s AFTER the tribulation, AFTER the Sun and Moon and Stars go dark. AFTER the tribulation then Christ comes.
So Christ’s return and the wrath of God is poured out on the day of the Lord:
Mal 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth?
So now we know, Jesus comes after the tribulation on the day of the Lord, and that day, when God’s wrath is poured out over the wicked is AFTER the tribulation. The just are saved, the wicked are judged on that day.
Basically we know this from this part in Scripture:
Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
read the rest of that chapter:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Mat&c=13&v=30&t=KJV#30
So Matthew 13 tells that teh wicked and just will be together until the end, that is untill the day of the Lord, just like in Noah’s day when Noah and his family, the just/ faithfull and the wicked where together until the day of wrath arrives, the flood. Then the wicked where taken and the faithfull / just were left! And the faithfull began a new world after the flood to find dry land and civilization started all over.
I wrote down a lot of the video….
God’s Wrath comes after Second Coming
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mvD7iY8PW8&feature=player_embedded#
…and i changed it a little and used the KJV instead and some of my own words.
If you can understand this, and you have been pre-trib or even mid-trib or -pre-wrath until now, you can see that those doctrines cannot be true and from there you get more questions and you likely will have more study to do.

I want to add something here to avoid misunderstandings, i said:
“Well then, the tribulation is not God’s wrath, but the wrath of the wicked! So if Christians go through tribulation, they are not appointed by God’s wrath, cause it’s not the same thing!
Which I earlier tried to show you by meaning, by the context of verses quoted etc.”
The day of the Lord is God’s wrath over the wicked, a day of salvation for the faithfull.
The tribulation is a period of persecution, the Devil’s wrath over the faithfull.
Yet there is some wrath of God during the tribulation, not unmixed wrath of god, but where one particular group is targetted, it’s here:
Revelation – Chapter 9:
http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Rev&c=9&v=1&t=KJV#top
Rev 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
Rev 9:2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit.
Rev 9:3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Rev 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment [was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Rev 9:6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
Very important:
“but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads”.
So this is seelctive wrath of God during the tribulation, howver it is NOT God’s unmixed wrath poured out over the world, that is teh day of wrath, day of the Lord.
The faithfull are not targetted as you see by this selective wrath, only those who accepted the mark of the beast!
This is something different than the tribulation, it is eternal damnation, AFTER the tribulation:
Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
That is the day of wrath on the day of the Lord.
Also notice who is still there ( not all, but many)
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed [are] the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
“they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”, those are Christians, right? As you see they are still there. The saints spokena bout during teh tribulation didn’t miss any pre-trib rapture, no verse si telling such a thing.
the only describtion we have is that they KEPT the word and Faith, and have the Tesimony of Jesus christ those saints.
They KEPT the faith from early on…from BEFORe the tribulation:
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Notice:”the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ”.
If the church would have been raptured, and the Holy Spirit being taken as pre-trib says, then who can even convert to Jesus during theh tribulation, how can the “tribulation saints” that supposdly missed the rapture, then convert dif the Holy Spirit is gone?
The Holy Spirit is the only way to get saved, there is no describtion in the entire bible of anybody that found salvation, became born again, in another way then vreceiving the Holy Spirit.
Pre-trib argues, that when the Holy Spirit is takena way from Earth, because the church is raptured, the logical event is that everything worsens fast and you have tribulation.
Fact is, no human cannot become born again without receiving the Holy Spirit, so neither the “tribulation Saints”.
The Tribulation saints in relation where people that where well prepared and knew antichrist was coming, they kept the faith and word even before the beast rised up!
Also, the word Saint, i can make a whole topic about this is equal to Christian, Church ( ekklesia in Greek), faithfull, brethren ( brothers and sisters in some bibles)
some pre-tribbers say that after chapter 4 in the Book of Revelation the Church is not spoken about ( actually after chapter 3, but some see chapter 4 and the second vision John received as a physical rapture)…but the reality is that a different word is used “the saints”, they are the same entity as the church. A person who is a saint is seen as holy, born again. Look up that word, it means believer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint
“In many Protestant churches, the word “saint” is used more generally to refer to anyone who is a Christian. This is similar in usage to Paul’s numerous references in the New Testament of the Bible.[25] In this sense, anyone who is within the Body of Christ (i.e., a professing Christian) is a ‘saint’ because of their relationship with Christ Jesus.”
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/SAINT
“3 a : one of God’s chosen and usually Christian people b capitalized : a member of any of various Christian bodies”
The only one that told the Churches in great detail about the tribulation and what takes place is John:
Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
So what else tribulation would he mean, there is no other tribulation John spoke about in his Book of revelation = apocalypse and means the revelation of Jesus Christ / appearance. So even chapter 1-4 never can talk about a church awaiting for a PRE-tribulation rapture, as John is not even speaking about such an event, he ONLY speaks about the Apocalypse = revelation of Jesus christ and the period of tribulation leading up to it.
So likewise John has to be talking about THE tribulation, he says he is your companion in tribulation, so those who will live at that time will understand, because they know what the book of revelation tells. He adds:”and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ”".
So he’s telling the church that tribulation comes, and also Christ. Christ didn’t come yet, yet he tells the church that they go through tribulation and that “he ( John) is companion in tribulation”
Check the bible for “tribulation saint”, it’s not existing…..however there ARE saints living during the tribulation.
All we can find about them, how they are described is this:
Rev 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Rev 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.
Rev 17:6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
There is no clue, neither in the verses before or after, that they somehow missed a pre-trib rapture and are basically people that later, during the tribulation, became christians 9 imagine, now that supposedly the Holy spirit is taken away from Earth as pre-trib believes!!…that’s impossible!)
All you see about those saints living during the tribulation is that they keep or kept the commandmentd, even before antichrist arises…they where obviously prepared…..that they are Godly and faithfull, worthy, thy servants etc. etc…..no clue is there for what pre-trib says.
Very important, once again, ….there is no single Scripture that telsl that there is a group of saints that missed a pre-trib rapture are now on their own, alone and later convert. It’s all into the imagionation of prophecy / bibleteachers, who went on the run with it,t he plot and story became bigger and bigger and these initial theories …gradually grew into “facts” and dogma inside particular schools and now it’s taught like a science to Christians.
That’s the problem eschatology is devloping and in reality eschatology cannot develop!!
There is only one truth and many scholars made theories, but as you often see with humanity, those become facts after years or decades and if that particular theory becomes popular, you soon looses your benchmark. A littlebit similar is the theory of Darwin in relation to Evolution, many people don’t know any better than that today! It happens to both Christians and non-christians as it’sa human characterestic. so we have to stay sharp and focussed and step back sometimes to overlook what we are believing and why and how did we actually came up with what we believe as individual, what is the source of it.
Alright, this is already too long, but i hope the story about wrath and tribulation is clear, yes there is even selective wrath of those with the mark during the tribulation, but it’s not unmixed wrath of God, not the destruction of the world yet, that is on the day of the Lord, after the tribulation. The tribulation itself is maning trial (for the believers and “persecution of the believer by the devil. Wrath of God is the wrath over the wicked and evil. The only ones physically dying during the tribulation are Christians, not the wicked.
The wicked who took the mark, even cannot die, they wish to die, but get tormented….staying alive.
Time is short, i need to try to stimulate people to research this if they didn’t know it yet, people can get a very unpleasant surprise if they are not mentally prepared for this!
Notice that the saints mentioned in the Boo of Revelation are ready to die for their case, compare it to people that say i fight for the US constitution, i don’t want to live in slavery, i will die as sacrifice if need be to try to fight for freedom of my country and people.
The same spirit is necessary for God, we cannot be cowards!! Look at the disciples and apostles!! Western Christianity is comfortable doctrine for a big part now…..we became softies.Hey ask any christian in Saoudi Arabia, sudan or N-Korea, is it ok that they die? what’s the difference between us, that we think we might get raptured so that we are not harmed or die, compared to millions in the rest of the wold that already are basically under tribulation, you only can die one on Earth, same is true for THE tribulation, in reality there’s no difference, except that evil will be rampant and global, global persecution, bu you still can only die once on earth!!
See, i’m not going to take a microchip or injection that alters my DNA or whatever the mark will be…i’m not…so my mind, if i stay this way, is made up, i’m prepared. But if peopel think they will eb raptured away before the tribulation, what will happen if what they believed in is not true?
See, this is a clue:
If pre-trib is wrong, then the consequences are/ could be enormous. Dependend on the strenght of faith of that pre-trib individual. Will they be able to deal with it once they realize, will they even realize if they see the beast or think it is Christ?
If post-tribbers are wrong: no consequences…God is not judging anybody if they thought the rapture, salvation would come later.Post-tribbers where basically mentally ready, the real born again onces ofcourse, that they should wait, have patience and go through tribulation and might be imprisoned or die. reparation for something bad is never wrong, even if it doesn’t show up like that!! No mental impact, no shock.
If posttrib is wrong, they had a littlebit of wrong eschatology, but it’s no matter of salvation. So post-tribbers in that sense walk no risk in case they are wrong, pre-tribber do!
Now why is that? Would that maybe give a very important clue about which doctrine is right?
My focus in the articles is on pre-trib doctrine as you noticed. I have more issues, but it’s very important to start. From here we can go to dispensationalism and other issues as well.

Here, good video that tells the same as i tried above, this is the right method to find out the truth in this:

Fascinating! And there are fascinating articles on Google that are relevant, namely, “Pretrib Rapture Diehards,” “Famous Rapture Watchers,” “Pretrib Rapture – Hidden Facts,” “Thomas Ice (Bloopers),” “Pretrib Expert John Walvoord Melts Ice,” and “Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty.” True, what the Bible teaches is the most important thing in the rapture debate. But history shows us what past Bible teachers thought the Bible was teaching – teachers we can credit for giving us the pretrib view. The full-length book on all this is “The Rapture Plot” (see Armageddon Books online). Mindy

Thank you Mindy!
True what you said.
There are also powerful families involved in creating these theories, a lot of that is there to be found via the encyclopedia, but you don’t see it being mentioned as such, but you see person A, a financier, that funds person B, a bible scholar that then creates a new bible translation or a new doctrine a with theologian schools. The Jesuits are involved with the pre-trib rapture, but I didn’t find a 100% evidence other then connections there; however, Darby was the first who really unified all theories, including dispensationalism made it into a new eschatological package that never existed before anywhere in the 1800 years before that time. A whole topic apart, but what I did find, is that notorious financiers, occultic families are involved with Darby and many others of that ilk.
See, Darby suddenly had this revelation supposedly that it should be that way, if genuine; it means that all Christians had it all wrong since day one, since Jesus time? Because that doctrine never existed, the early church apolistic fathers also show that, they taught a non dispensationalist post-trib coming. Yet many pre-trib teachers do quote these parts of these early Church Fathers out of context to make their own point, the opposite I’m making.
Even beyond this, even more shocking, Protestantism is nothing but a Rosicrucian streaming. Many really faithful Christians today consider themselves Protestants.
I’m not saying that these are believing lies, but the point is, it’s another updated religion created, it’s not entirely correct either. Calvin and Martin Luther where occultists and both men were pretty nasty too.
What we usually get shocked of, that is Catholics burning Protestants at stake, and the Protestant Reformation should end this…forget it. The very founders of the Protestant Reformation burn somebody at a stake who was too much of a humanist according to them.
I will also make a topic about that, I’ve many topics to do!! I already mentioned or promised to do 10 or so.
Now, people might be shocked….. no Jesus message is not a lie, so don’t feel bad if you consider yourself a Protestant. The thing is, Jesus didn’t come to bring an established religion, no institutionalized religion. Jesus understood organized churches, create power structures and centralization, which become bulwarks of the adversary…Satan…because of new doctrines people in these positions of power seduced for power and influence etc.
That’s why Jesus church, ecclesia, was a gathering of believers…adhoc, no membership to pay. I’m not saying it’s bad to do that if you go to a church, I only explain that Jesus created it so free and loose just because He understood better than anybody what the modes Operandi of Satan is. (And his Earthly helpers)
Christianity, as we call it today is “Ianity”, the “Ianity” part is institutionalized religion and Jesus never came to establish a religion. Being religious is not equal to being spiritual in touch with God either necessarily! Being religious can be a habitual social event, going to the church every Sunday, without really understanding what you’re doing. Or just for the social networking, social events. Don’t get me wrong, there are good churches with really good pastors usually small Churches. So Church attendance could be talking the talk, not doing the walk for example…”the church” as institutionalized entity, don’t save your soul, something the pope does try to convince you and me. Most churches today are taken over my free masons and most churches raised in the 19th century, New World are created by free masons. Protestantism is run on top by free masons / rosicrucians.
Just check the Lutheran church and Martin Luther in encyclopedias. The symbolism is there, he was part of that secret society.
They did put a person on a stake for being too humanistic, now, that means the spirit behind Protestantism as religious streaming is not in tune with God, it’s not Jesus message or way of dealing with issues to put a humanist at a stake to burn him or her. That is plain Satanic. If that person was really off-track and too humanistic in God’s eyes, its God judging that person not these Reformation leaders, they have no authority to do such a thing. Also not in line with Jesus Spirit is to be part of secret societies…..well Martin Luther was. Realize that many known great bible teachers and leaders you know are into this conspiracy, that’s why they always hail these founders of the Protestant reformation, they never tell you or me the truth, a part of it. So they tell all bad things about the Romans, all true, but they never look into eh mirror and say that wrong things occurred with the founding of the Protestant Reformation and that it shouldn’t have gone that way…no, they rather would apologize in case you are confronting them with it.
So Protestantism is another false religious streaming, just like Roman Catholicism. In some area’s Protestantism is more sticking to Jesus message, but remember, the spirit behind it is not good and there are many things wrong with the counsels in Europe that made their points what you had to believe, and how you should believe and their doctrines. Many are plain wrong. Especially Calvin, Calvinism has dark wrong eschatology. My own country, the Netherland, Holland had a pretty big influence in the development of Protestantism.
So, since I researched these things and I found them out, I no longer consider myself Protestant anymore, just a follower, so disciple of Jesus teachings, He also didn’t request anything more of us other than to just put these teachings into reality. So do what He taught us to be good people and spread his message.
When I’m done with eschatology, this can take a while; I will make a topic that deals with that history I just explained.

In additionL notice we are followers of Luther or Calvin, or some institute, like Methodists or Baptists, just name them….
Our bibles are named to King James, or Darby or Scofield, Moody’s bible. etc. etc. or a New Standard, New American Standard. Maybe a strange suggestion, but what about Jesus / God’s Bible? You see what i mean?
Well, it seems that people like to put their names on them. But i would never put my name on a new bible translation, it’s Jesus word, not mine, i hope so, if it is, i would have altered it.
So all that is not right, these are small hints also that there are wrong things in Protestantism.
Credit is given to kings or scholars in this area or institutes…..not to Jesus / God.
That’s nto right, imagine that i would make a new Bible translation, how accurate it may be, but that i would put my name on it…i really don’t dare too!!

The Rapture Will Occur Before Than Man Of Sin (Anti-Christ) Is Revealed During The Remaining End Of The Three And Half Years Of The Seven Year Tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble Whereby The Anti-Christ Will Declare Himself As ‘God’ And Cause Sacrifices To Cease In The Third Jewish Temple And God’s Intervention To Stop Him Will Commence.
Though The The Release Of 7 Trumpets & Seven Vials (Woes/Plagues) May Occur During The Start Of The Remaining Three And A Half Years Of The Seven Years Tribulation.

THE RAPTURE – Feast Of Trumpets, Sept/Oct
http://endtimepilgrim.org/trumpets.htm
7: For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. = 2:7 letteth. The Holy Spirit, through the true Church, “letteth” (that is, delays, or hinders) the revelation of the son of perdition. In effect, He will be “taken out of the way” when all those He indwells and guides are caught up to meet the Lord. Of course, since He is omnipresent, He will still be present and working on earth, though not through the Church.
2 Thessalonians 2:7
2:7 let. The English word “let” is derived from the Old English laetan, which in turn came from the ancient Teutonic. Our modern word “late” is from the same source, the original meaning of laetan being “to make late” or “delay.” Thus, this word, as used in this verse, meant “make late” or “delay.” By a strange permutation of language meanings, it has in more recent times come to mean “permit,” almost the opposite of its original meaning.

II Thessalonians Chapter 2 : 2 10
2: That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3: Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4: Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5: Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6: And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7: For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8: And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them

[Lately I viewed the following on the worldwide web. Is this really heating up?]
PRETRIB RAPTURE SECRECY
by Dave MacPherson
The word “secrecy” when applied to Christ’s return can refer to two different things: time and visibility. Before 1830 the only coming Christians looked for was the “every eye shall see him” second advent to earth – secret only in point of time.
Enter Margaret Macdonald in 1830. She saw “the one taken and the other left” before “THE WICKED” [Antichrist] will “be revealed” – and added that her pretrib rapture would not be “seen by the natural eye” but only by “those who have the light of God within.” Her rapture was doubly secret: at an unknown day and hour and also invisible to “outsiders.”
Desperate to eliminate Margaret as the pretrib originator and the Irvingites as the first public teachers of pretrib, Darby defender Thomas Ice foolishly claims that they taught a secret POSTTRIB coming even though he knows that when Hal Lindsey teaches “one taken” etc. before the Antichrist “is revealed” Lindsey is expressing the kernel of the pretrib view – what MM and the Irvingites clearly taught before Darby did! Google “X-Raying Margaret” and “Edward Irving is Unnerving” to see why they are properly labeled “pretrib.”)
As early as June 1832, Irving’s journal taught that only “to those who are watching and praying…will Christ be manifested…as the morning star. To the rest of the church, and to the world, this first appearance will be…unintelligible.” (“Present State of Prophetic Knowledge” etc., p. 374)
Always trailing and “borrowing” quietly from the Irvingites who in turn had “borrowed” from Margaret, Darby in 1845 finally sounded like them when he wrote that “the bright and morning Star…is the sweet and blessed sign to them that watch…And such is Christ before He appears [at the final advent to earth]. The Sun will arise on the world….The star is before the [Sun], the joy of those who watch. The unwakeful world, who sleep in the night, see it not.” (“Thoughts on the Apocalypse,” p. 167)
And Lindsey’s “Late Great Planet Earth,” p. 143, says that “the second coming is said to be visible to the whole earth (Revelation 1:7). However, in the Rapture. only the Christians see Him – it’s a mystery, a secret.”
My bestselling book “The Rapture Plot” (available at online stores including Armageddon Books) has 300 pages of such documentation and proves that Margaret was the first to “see” a secret, pretrib rapture, that the Irvingites soon echoed her in their journal (which Darby admitted he avidly read), and that Darby was last on all of the crucial aspects of dispensationalism.
Shockingly, all of the earliest pretrib development rested solely on unclear OT and NT types and symbols and NOT on clear Biblical statements. Margaret’s rapture was inspired by Rev. 11′s “two witnesses.” And her “secret visibility” rested on the “types” of Stephen, Paul, and John – all of whom saw or heard what others couldn’t see or hear.
For 30 years Darby’s pretrib basis was the rapture of Rev. 12′s “man child” – actually his plagiarism of Irving’s usage of this “pretrib” symbol eight years earlier!
As I said at the start, the “second advent to earth” is secret in point of time with its unknown “day and hour,” as Christ stated. Pretribs assert that if Christ returns for the church after the tribulation, we could count down the days and figure out the actual date of His return – which would contradict Christ’s words.
But pretribs deliberately ignore the fact that Christ said that the tribulation days will be shortened – and He didn’t reveal the length of the shortening!
Our opponents also assume that the “watch” verses prove the “any-moment imminence” of Christ’s return. But do they? II Peter 3:12 says we are to be “looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God” which all premills claim is at least 1000 years ahead of us and therefore hardly “imminent”! What’s the difference between “watching for” and “looking for”?
Another gimmick has pretribs saying “Would you want Jesus to return at any moment and find out you’re sinning?” But Jesus ALREADY knows all about us! And the Holy Spirit, who’s also God, is ALREADY here (Rom. 8:27)!
You have just learned a few of the many secrets that the Secret Rapture Gang has hidden for a long time. Evidently they have forgotten Luke 12:2′s warning that “there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed”!
PS – For the ultimate in uncovered secrets, see engines like Google and type in “Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty.”
PPS – While evangelicals stay largely asleep while waiting for their 180-year-old rapture, the shmutzy-tongued subversives of the world (e.g., movie moguls at awards ceremonies) invent new ways to create and unite even more members of the FFA (Future Followers of the Antichrist). For insights Yahoo “backstabbing tirades by David Letterman (and Sandra Bernhard and Kathy Griffin)” in a short Letterman bit.
