Luk 21:36 “Watch then at all times, and pray that you be counted worthy to escape all this about to take place, and to stand before the Son of God.”

29 Bible versions are missing an important doctrine believed by nearly every evangelical church

29 Bible versions are missing an important doctrine believed by nearly every evangelical church. The verse which teaches it has been quietly removed. How about yours? Watch this new short video in which author David W. Daniels gives us a quick excerpt from his book, “Look What’s Missing.”

Comments from a reader…

“This guy really knows his subject.

“It’s not often that someone who is an expert on Bible versions and the texts that underlie them can write in plain language that is both fascinating and easy to understand. But David Daniels does just that.

“Especially fascinating are Daniels’ comments on why it is such a big deal when a particular word is omitted. And when you see some of the things that modern Bible publishers have left out of their Bibles, it is just jaw-dropping! How can they do that?

“I could not put this book down. I had a lot to do, but once I got started with this, I just had to keep going. Don’t start reading it until you have some time. It will disrupt your schedule.

“I don’t normally read footnotes in books, but every now and then I could not resist looking at what Daniels had to say at the bottom of the page. This guy not only writes in a way that keeps you interested, but he really has the facts! His footnotes show a depth of knowledge of his subject that have never seen before. It’s indisputable!

“I never thought the history of modern Bible versions could be such fascinating reading! But Daniels shows that often, Bible translators didn’t believe the scriptures themselves!

“I especially enjoyed his discussion of a subject that is left out of many Bibles — hell! After delivering the bombshell of how Bible translators removed Jesus’ teaching about hell, Daniels observes in his entertaining way, “there is something about hell that makes these people really nervous!” He certainly appears to be right.

“Reading this book makes you want to hide your modern Bibles and hang on to one that still teaches repentance, salvation by faith, and even that Jesus is God. Wow! Many Bibles even soft-pedal that. It’s time to get back to basics, and back to having faith in our God and His Bible. Daniels will prod you, shock you, and inspire you to faith.

“It’s organized so you when talking with a friend about a particular translation, you can look it up in the contents and turn right to the chapter that tells what’s missing from that Bible. I’ve got to have a copy of this to show my friends at church.”

  1. Rick Lannoye Said,

Sure, this guy is correct about the point that the original sayings of Jesus have been since then distorted and adulterated, so that the modern Bible doesn’t accurately render his core message about God. But he’s got it BACKWARDS on Hell! The fact is Jesus did NOT believe in Hell; he couldn’t have.

I’ve actually written an entire book on this topic–”Hell? No! Why You Can Be Certain There’s No Such Place As Hell,” (for anyone interested, you can get a free Ecopy of my book at my website: http://www.ricklannoye.com), but if I may, let me share one of the many points I make in it to illustrate why.

If one is willing to look, there’s substantial evidence contained in the gospels to show that Jesus opposed the idea of Hell. For example, in Luke 9:51-56, is a story about his great disappointment with his disciples when they actually suggested imploring God to rain FIRE on a village just because they had rejected him. His response: “You don’t know what spirit is inspiring this kind of talk!” Presumably, it was NOT the Holy Spirit. He went on, trying to explain how he had come to save, heal and relieve suffering, not be the CAUSE of it.

So it only stands to reason that this same Jesus, who was appalled at the very idea of burning a few people, for a few horrific minutes until they were dead, could never, ever burn BILLIONS of people for an ETERNITY!

True, there are a few statements that made their way into the gospels which place Hell on Jesus lips, but these adulterations came along many decades after his death, most likely due to the Church filling up with Greeks who imported their belief in Hades with them when they converted.

  2. Vince Said,

Sheww!!! Thank you for this post… can you list all the missing verses in NIV? NIV doesn’t have Acts 8:37. This is a very good post.

  3. jonathan Said,

Do a search of Westcott and Hort, they are responsible for a lot of this. some say they were Jesuit. and had been sent to infiltrate the Church of England. But I know better, It was the Church at large even up to today. Very enlightening. We must always be vigilant.
