The Tithe of Yeshua
A friend of mine sent me a message late last night asking me about the famous passage in the book of Malachi regarding the promises of the tithe.
He asked me to re-iterate to him what the significance was of the ‘Aleph & Taw’ in the scriptures.
To which i replied, well there are several ways one can take the interesting letters Aleph & Taw in the scriptures. The two Hebrew characters show up mysteriously in various places all throughout the Nanak (old testament).
I reminded him that Yeshua lays claim that he is the ‘Aleph and the Taw’ the beginning and the last. This for those of the inquisitive mind is not simply a byword, no, this is a 5000 year old mystery revealed.
Yeshua provides us the cipher to decrypt several mysteries hidden within the scriptures by telling us he IS the Aleph Taw, see here.
Rev 1:11 saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,”
Rev 22:13 “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.
So lets take a look at a few reasons why this is an important detail.
Some of you have likely read the beginning of the gospel of John,
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.
Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with Elohim.
Joh 1:3 All came to be through Him, and without Him not even one came to be that came to be.
These are great and all, very deep, but how did John get this information? Where did he learn of this?
Do you recall Yeshua saying he was in the beginning etc?
The prudent student of the scriptures will always ask the questions to know what is inside the mind of the author. What did John know that we don’t that allows him to write those details? Just revelation? Just because? Just because its the bible and God said so? No no no all unacceptable answers.
I don’t recall anything like that in Genesis either, so what gives?
The mystery is only made apparent in the Hebrew text. Gen 1:1
Gen 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created(AT) the heavens and the earth.
If you look up this verse in Hebrew you will find the mysterious untranslated word of two letters, Aleph Taw directly after the word ‘created’ (AT).
And if you continue further through this passage, you will find that each and every time the word ‘made’ and ‘created’ are used the AT follows directly afterwards.
What does it all mean????
Lets get to the point. If the AT is Yeshua, than by inference, the passages in Genesis read very differently.
That is, ‘In the beginning Elohim created (through/by Yeshua) the heavens and the earth.
And later, and Elohim made (through/by Yeshua) two great lights….
another, and Elohim created (through/by Yeshua) the great whales, and every living creature.
Making sense yet? So now we see where John got his revelation from!
John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the word (Aleph Taw), and the word was with Elohim, and the word was Elohim.
He (AT) was in the beginning with Elohim.
All came to be through him (AT) and without him (AT) not even one came to be that came to be.
There is another very interesting mystery which is revealed with Yeshua’s little signature.
Zec 12:10 “And I shall pour on the house of Dawiḏ and on the inhabitants of Yerushalayim a spirit of favour and prayers. And they shall look on Me(AT) whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son. And they shall be in bitterness over Him as a bitterness over the first-born. emphasis added (AT)
This is an incredibly fascinating mystery, to suggest that for many years the scribes would copy these texts over and over again, never truly comprehending what those mysterious letters meant! And now we know, ‘and they shall look upon me, Yeshua whom they pierced…’
Another,
Eze 34:23 “And I shall raise up over them one shepherd, (AT)My servant Dawid, and he shall feed them. He shall feed them and be their shepherd.
Notice here, the signature again, how much more meaningful and incredible is it. Not only was the prophecy spoken clean enough, no, the scribe was inspired to add the AT in the specific point that shows yet another proof that the text was supernaturally inspired with evidence of influence from outside our time dimension.
Another,
Zec 3:8 ‘Now listen, Yehoshua the high priest, you and your companions who sit before you, for they are men of symbol. For look, I am bringing forth (AT) My Servant – the Branch.
As if the stirring representation of Joshua the high priest wasn’t good enough, in that his name is nearly identical and his office of high priest being shared by the promised messiah, Elohim in his mastery ensured the signature here as well, continually unifying the message of the one to come.
Another,
Isa 53:6 We all, like sheep, went astray, each one of us has turned to his own way. And יהוה has laid on Him(AT) the crookedness of us all.
Glorious! We know already that Yeshua is high priest and was able to take away our sins, but see here! Now we see the legalities within the text proving his divine calling and enablement for such an incredible task!
Another,
Jer 31:33 “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, declares יהוה: I shall put My Torah(AT) in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
That is powerful! Not only is the promise that there is a new or renewed covenant, but that he puts his torah inside of us. And that Torah is Yeshua!
I”m sure there are many many more! As is written
Psa 40:7 Then I said, “See, I have come; In the scroll of the Book it is prescribed for me.
Its as if Elohim has set these signatures not only for our revelation and inspiration, but even more so specifically for Yeshua, as if they were points of conversation for us to over hear of the dialogue between the two of them. How fascinating!
Back to the core
The following verses have become the staple for any ministers means to encourage people to give money to the church or cause.
Mal 3:9 “You have cursed Me with a curse, for you are robbing Me, this nation, all of it!
Mal 3:10 “Bring(AT) all the tithes into the storehouse, and let there be food in My house. And please prove Me in this,” said יהוה of hosts, “whether I do not open for you(AT) the windows of the heavens, and shall pour out for you boundless blessing!
Mal 3:11 “And I shall rebuke the devourer for you, so that it does not destroy(AT) the fruit of your ground, nor does the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” said יהוה of hosts.
Mal 3:12 “And all nations shall call you blessed(AT), for you shall be a land of delight,” said יהוה of hosts.
What I and many don’t realize is that there is a very profound mystery hidden from our English reading eyes in the Hebrew text. The Aleph Taw signature shows up in the most interesting place in this passage.
The explanation I’m about to give is several layers deep, so re-read it a few times if necessary.
That’s one of the most incredible things about the scriptures is that once you think you have it all figured out, all of a sudden you get a glimpse at another layer of meaning. Its also one of the most fascinating things about the Hebrew language that as it was chosen and used by Elohim, he has encoded the text to carry multiple meanings with the same number of letters. Its the highest level of encryption in that the words can have multiple numeric meanings and equations, as well as simultaneously carry multiple layers of coded message all in such a richly compact method of delivery.
Our modern technology in computers uses similar methods of encryption, for example, zip files. You take a library of information and compress it by developing ciphers wherein portions of the information can be removed in order to reduce its size. Likewise, utilizing these forms of message transmission are essential for conservation of data integrity. By employing these levels of encryption Elohim has ensured that his message will endure beyond any interference in transmission.
The passage quoted above is just one of those examples where there are several layers of meaning, each separate with wildly different meanings, yet composed together in one text.
So first layer, pretty obvious, Elohim uses the prophet Malachi to deliver a message to some delinquent priests. They for whatever reasons had gotten themselves into the habit of perverting the tithes and offerings. Elohim then attempts to rectify the problem by offering them a promise, that is, to prove him wrong in how he will bless every one of them and the entire nation if they were to keep true. Not only that, but that being faithful in his portion of the tithes he promised to protect the crops so that he would always be worthy and able to receive the first and best of all. Which also meant the priests themselves would always have the best to eat and share among themselves. And lastly when that foundational instruction is adhered to, then all of Israel would be recognized as a blessed nation.
Layer 2
Direction specifically to Yeshua
v 10, (paraphrasing its meaning)
Yeshua, you bring your tithe to the temple in heaven (heavenly storehouse) and try me to see if i wont open to you the windows of heaven and pour a blessing on your so much that you can’t receive it!
V11, and i will rebuke the deceiver on your behalf so that none of your disciples are spoiled (ie. Fruit) when you are cut off from the earth.
V12, and all nations will call you blessed! Etc.
This is incredibly deep, and reveals wonderful things. Firstly, the tithe, the tithe is ‘a tenth’ or ‘the tenth’ being the first and best 10 percent of a persons increase whether it be crops, children, animals, property or money.
By the people and specifically the priests handling and submitting the tithe properly and faithfully, it would essentially sanctify the whole sum. That is why at times the tithe is considered ‘ransom’. Its a very very deep and powerful study the tithe, especially how it hardly refers to money as being the focus.
So, Yeshua offered himself as the tithe for all of humanity. And in so doing, he has been called blessed all over the world for generations, and indeed, the deceiver has been rebuked on his behalf. How sweet it is!
Layer 3
Direction specifically for those in whom Yeshua abides.
V10, You(the one filled with the holy spirit) bring your tithes to those who are filled with the spirit and also acting on his behalf as priests over you, and try Elohim in this to see if he wont open up to us the windows of heaven and pour a blessing so much that we can’t receive it.
V11, and he will rebuke the devourer on our behalf that our food, shelter and income don’t fail, even in trying times.
V12, and all nations will call us blessed, a group of delightful people.
So what does it all mean?
Well, Elohim is amazing, and he is always able to blow our minds and use one thing to teach us several lessons.
This revelation has reproved me and Elohim proved to me through his word and the Aleph Taw that indeed the requirement and blessings and promises related to tithing persist for the individual believer and in so much more than is typically conveyed.
Not only is the tithe from our increase but it is with our very being, it is our time, our focus, our love, our desires and passions. If we could simplify his needs of us, call it 24 minutes a day, call it 1 in 10 dreams are for him, call it, remembering his love before all the other things we enjoy. The money is just a tithe of what the tithe is about! So then, let us try Elohim to see if he wont open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing on all aspects of our lives that we cannot receive it!
Also, that nothing we do goes to waste, that the deceiver, devourer gets rebuked on all levels of our lives, so that our work, play, words, intentions, gifts etc are all effective and meaningful.
Bless His Name!
